Borderline Scorpion
I sort of have the same concern as the person who said they were worried about it. I actually went to a dr to talk to about it and told him that I have 6 of the 7 symptoms of BPD. He's the only professional that I have talked to. He told me that I didn't have it because I'd be locked in a mental hospital 90% of my life, but I don't know if he's right because I know I have BPD I just haven't went forward with trying to commit suicide. Now that he's said that I'm afraid to talk to any other drs.

Gah, I’m sorry about that doctor… I really am. I assure you they all aren’t like that. In my opinion, I just find that some doctors (psychologists, family doctors, allergists… what have you) tend to have a superiority complex and make it difficult for patients to be totally honest with them because they judge you. (Like one doctor wouldn’t treat my mom for her lung infection until she “quit smoking” which was totally unacceptable…)
Anyways, I had a bad first appointment with a doctor. I was totally honest with him and I just poured my heart right out and my mom came in and said some things (Like that my one friend made me be promiscuous which wasn’t true) but the doctor took it as truth and basically started looking down at me and totally demeaned me. I asked to see a second doctor. You should get a second opinion. I feel that people shouldn’t self diagnose on one hand, but on the other we know ourselves the best. At least getting that second doctor will put your mind to ease.
I hope you do talk to someone else about it!
Best Regards,
Chelsea.
